We're running an invite-only pilot in Canada right now. Public launch is planned over the coming months. Join the waitlist and we'll email the moment you can sign up.
No. PET SCION works fully in your browser on phone or desktop. A native iOS and Android app is on the roadmap but not required to book, pay, or manage your pet's profile.
We're launching across Canada. We'll expand across Canada next, then into the United States. If you want to request your city, tell us on the contact page.
Pet owner accounts are free. You only pay the price of the services you book. Full pricing details will be published on the pricing page before public launch.
📅 Booking & services
Phase 1 launches with seven core services: dog walking, pet sitting, boarding, grooming, training, pet insurance, and veterinary (in-clinic and telehealth). More services — pet photography, transport, breed-specific care — are planned.
Pick a service, enter your postal code, and browse verified providers by rating, price, and availability. Some accept instant booking; others accept requests-to-book. You can message in-app before you confirm.
Yes. Add each pet to your profile (species, breed, age, care notes) and you can include any or all of them in a single booking. Providers see the full picture before accepting.
Each provider sets a cancellation policy — flexible, moderate, or strict. Refunds are calculated transparently and shown before you confirm. Changes are always free more than 24 hours before the booking start.
💳 Payments & refunds
We authorize your card when you book and charge it only after the service is completed. Payments are processed by Stripe. All major Canadian cards are supported.
Every booking is covered. If a provider cancels last minute, doesn't show up, or a service goes wrong, we refund you and help find a replacement. Details on the Trust & Safety page.
Yes — all applicable Canadian taxes are calculated and displayed at checkout. Invoices include tax breakdowns so providers and owners can file correctly.
🛡️ Trust & safety
Every provider submits government-issued ID and (where applicable) professional licences. High-touch services like overnight boarding add Checkr background checks in Phase 2. Every provider page shows verification badges.
Encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+), granular consent for analytics and AI training, and DSAR (data access / delete) self-serve tools in Phase 2. See our Privacy Policy.
Medical records you upload are private to you and only shared with providers you explicitly grant access to — and only for as long as a booking is active. You can revoke access at any time.
🐾 For providers
Start on our Become a Provider page. You'll tell us about your service, share credentials, and onboard with Stripe Connect Express. Most providers go live in under 30 minutes once verified.
No monthly subscription — just a per-booking take rate. Details will be published on the pricing page before public launch. Founding Canadian providers get reduced rates for the first six months.
Stripe payouts hit your bank account 2 business days after a completed service. You can track everything — earnings, pending payouts, tax documents — in your provider dashboard.
